Van Velasco, a passionate artist, found his true calling in the vibrant world of alcohol ink paintings after retiring from a distinguished career in Aviation in 2016. Born with a wanderlust spirit, Velasco’s journey took him to Saudi Arabia, where he lived and worked for approximately 14 years. Throughout his time in the Middle East, he embarked on numerous explorations, traveling extensively across the globe, and immersing himself in the diverse arts and crafts of every country he visited.

Retirement offered Van Velasco the perfect impetus to unleash his artistic passion fully. Armed with alcohol inks, he embarked on a journey of self-discovery and creative expression. Van Velasco’s art transcends conventional boundaries, as he masterfully combines the spontaneity of alcohol inks with the precision of his vision.
